The tour of the D’Arrigo Bros. (Andy Boy) facility will begin with a presentation by company food safety experts describing their vertically integrated product handling system that begins from the time the seed is planted, until their products are loaded onto their customer’s trucks and the doors have been closed. The system allows them to have complete control through-out the growing and harvesting process to know the history and know exactly what it took to produce the crop. Food safety experts will explain their food safety program based on Good Agricultural Practices (GAP’s), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’) and the Leafy Green Marketing Agreement (LGMA).
